Will recommend and refer potential adoptive only parents to nearby agencies for homestudy.  Will share training with local agencies. Adoption STAR, Inc.

Services Provided: Provides child placement programs including domestic infant and international programs. Conducts home studies for prospective families throughout NYS, OH and FL interested in pursuing a domestic agency adoption, private adoption, international adoption and kinship adoption. Home study includes educational classes. International programs include Hungary and Bulgaria. Additional services include pre adoption education and support, Family STAR – A full service post adoption support program providing clinical counseling, support groups and nationwide post adoption contact correspondence services. Dutchess County Department of Social Services

Services Provided: 30 Hour MAPP training course held 2 x yearly in the spring and fall.  Orientation /information sessions held the 2nd Wednesday of every month. County requires school references if family has child currently enrolled in school and a mental health evaluation and or clearance.

Family Focus Adoption Services

Services Provided: Serving NY families from Long Island through the Capital District, serving children nationwide. Waiting Child (NY and interstate adoption from the foster care system); Intercountry (Hague Accredited) homestudies and post-placement reports; Newborn homestudies and placement services. Specialty: adoption of children 8 yrs.+ and special needs. Adoption Certification Classes in Queens, Capital District and Mid-Hudson. Hudson Valley Adoption Services

Services Provided: Hudson Valley Adoption Services is a not-for-profit, non-sectarian, licensed and NYS approved adoption agency based in Kingston, New York. Adoption services include Adoption Homestudies and specialized adoptive parent training for domestic and international adoption. Also provides a variety of NYS Adoption Law Services.
