Bethany Christian Services – Rochester Office

Services Provided: Bethany Christian Services is a NYS Authorized Adoption Agency providing comprehensive adoption services to pregnant women/couples considering placing their children with loving, adoptive families and those seeking to create their family through adoption. Bethany offers domestic infant, older child and international adoption programs throughout New York State. We also offer assistance with private or kinship adoptions. We provide support, access to social services resources, home study, post-placement services and counseling. Catholic Family Center

Services Provided: Full Service agency – assists with domestic infant, international, older/special needs and  adoptions. Comprehensive information about all aspects of adoption. Initial confidential interviews, home studies, post-placement services,complete documentation for legalization as required by the court. Will act as a liaison for adoptive parents with international agencies, and assist them in meeting the requirements for U.S. immigration and consult with attorneys for adoptive parents in private adoption cases. Fees for home study and CFC placements are based on a sliding fee scale or a flat rate, depending on the type of adoption. Information meetings held monthly

Hillside Children’s Center

Services Provided: Information and referral on all aspects of adoption and foster care and support to concerned individuals and organizations.  Will assist families interested in a waiting child to obtain training and home studies. Services include annual conference, international / domestic homestudies, birthmother support network, search support for birth families, monthly homestudy and information classes, and pre & post adoption parent support groups.  Youth support groups also available.


Jewish Family Services of Rochester

Services Provided: Jewish Family Service of Rochester provides pre-adoption consultation, home study services and post adoption/post-placement supervision for domestic, international and older waiting child adoptions. Networking relationships with placement agencies around the US enable clients to pursue adoptions through various routes. Experienced, professional staff provides committed support to pre-adoptive and adoptive families throughout the adoption process. NYS authorized. Hague accredited. Service area includes a 3 hour radius of Rochester, NY.


Monroe County Department of Human Services

Services Provided: 30 hour MAPP course held 9X year. Evenings once a week for 10 weeks,  Orientation/Information meetings first Tuesday of every month at Monroe Comm. Hospital. Home visit and income verification required prior to enrollment.  Need families for teens and siblings groups.  Adoption unit refers to HF for training, priority is foster care but will work with families interested in waiting kids.  Have Spanish speaking staff to assign to Spanish speaking families and may run Spanish language class if sufficient interest expressed.
