Foster Care Film

Organizer

We present three different windows, three different stories of youth connected by the system of foster care: the short films “Feeling Wanted,” “My Identity,” and “Family Rewritten.” The screening will include discussions with the director, Yasmin Mistry and two participants in the films, Charell Star and Kim Flodin. These three award-winning short documentaries from the Foster Care Film and Community Engagement Project are an opportunity to take a multi-faceted, intimate look at a system in which we all have a stake: caring for foster youth. Please join us to engage with the filmmakers, participants, stories, and issues. Visit fostercarefilm.com for more on the films and the project. All are welcome!

Presented by the Media and Social Change Lab (MASCLab), a lab in the Communication, Media and Learning Technologies Design Program at Teachers College, Columbia University.
