FOSTER YOUTH COLLEGE SUCCESS INITIATIVE
CALLING ON ALL: Current & Former Foster Youth, Foster Parents, Advocates, Case Managers & Higher Ed Staff

Help advocate for the continued support and expansion of the Foster Youth College Success Initiative (FYCSI), that provides additional financial and supportive resources to ensure youth in care not only get to college but succeed in graduating from college. Meet with legislators and other government officials on the importance of continuing and expanding such critical resources for youth in foster care and alumni.

Training: In advance of Advocacy Day, participants are encouraged to attend one of the mandatory trainings, which will be provided on the following days:

  1. New York City: Thursday, January 19 from 4:30pm-6:30pmat: 711 Third Avenue, New York, NY 10017.
  2. Westchester: Thursday, January 26 from 3:00pm-5pmLocation TBD.
  3. New York City: Tuesday, January 31 from 4:30pm-6:30pm at:711 Third Avenue, New York, NY 10017.
  4. Webinar (STAFF ONLY): Monday, January 30 from 11am – 12:30pm. Webinar link will be sent to registered participants only.

Transportation will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. You must rsvp for a space on the bus while completing the registration form.

  1. New York City Participants: 99 University Place, New York, NY 10003 (in front of the Ralph Lauren Store). The bus will begin boarding at 6am and depart promptly at 6:30am
  2. Westchester: 11 Ferris Avenue, White Plains, NY 10606 (White Plains Bus Terminal, the bus will pick participants up on the corner of Ferris Avenue and Water Street). The bus will begin boarding at 7am, and depart promptly at 7:15am
