Services Provided: We provide therapeutic foster care throughout the southern tier of NY and are continuously seeking to certify homes in all areas we serve. We offer pre-service training and preparation via GPS/MAPP curriculum; case and permanency planning; coordination of medical, education, and mental health services; ongoing 24-hour live and local support; and monthly trainings.

Pathways, Inc.

Services Provided: Our Therapeutic Foster Care Program is a community-based and family-centered program approved by the NYS Office of Children and Family Services. It serves youth in custody of their local Department of Social Services who have serious emotional, social, and behavioral issues and/or developmental disabilities in need of a therapeutic out-of-home placement. Resource Parents (certified foster parents) trained in mental health and developmental topics provide foster care to youths. Therapeutic Foster Care staff provide services to youths, siblings, and families to achieve permanency goals. This service is available in Rochester and the Southern Tier of New York State

Steuben County Department of Social Services

Services Provided: Does joint MAPP training 2 to 3 times a year. Minimum once in fall and once in spring. orientation held prior to training. Will provide training and home study for local residents interested in out of county NYS child.
