Adoptive and Foster Family Coalition of New York’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Statement 

A commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) is central to the Coalition’s work to unite and support New York State’s adoptive, foster, and kinship families.

We empower our families to succeed and thrive, while celebrating their diversity.

We nurture and foster DEIB within our community through:

• Equity: Opportunity, resources, and access; regardless of background or circumstances. 
• Inclusion: A culture of inclusion and openness where all feel welcome and safe to share their unique opinions, ideas and beliefs.
