Supporting the Coalition

More than fifty years ago, foster and adoptive families across the state came together to advocate for the needs of their families and the children. Today, our umbrella has grown to include relatives raising children (also known as kinship care) and to specifically focus on supporting youth as part of our work.

We unite foster, adoptive and kinship parents and youth, coordinate adoptive and foster parent support groups and provide services to help support families and their children. We educate the public, legislators and government leaders about the needs and realities of foster, kinship and adoptive families.  Finally, we collaborate with child welfare agencies and other groups to ensure that families are best able to support and parent the children and youth in their homes.

Make a Contribution.  Become a Stakeholder.

Stakeholders, those who know that foster, adoptive and kinship families in New York need a voice and support, hold a special place in our heart.
