Catholic Charities of Broome County

Services Provided: Provides all aspects of adoption services including: domestic and international home studies, placement supervision, preparation for legal adoption, and post placement services. The services are provided by a staff of New York State Certified Social Workers and a Registered Nurse. Additionally, The PPA program offers STEP-Early Childhood classes and the “The Happiest Baby” (an infant parenting program).


Catholic Family Center

Services Provided: Full Service agency – assists with domestic infant, international, older/special needs and adoptions. Comprehensive information about all aspects of adoption. Initial confidential interviews, home studies, post-placement services,complete documentation for legalization as required by the court. Will act as a liaison for adoptive parents with international agencies, and assist them in meeting the requirements for U.S. immigration and consult with attorneys for adoptive parents in private adoption cases. Fees for home study and CFC placements are based on a sliding fee scale or a flat rate, depending on the type of adoption. Information meetings held monthly

Tioga County Department of Social Services

Services provided: 30 Hour MAPP training held twice a year. Callers who contact homefinding unit will be sent information packet and homefinder will call back with details if not available at time of call. Basic state requirements.
