Hillside Children’s Center

Services Provided: Information and referral on all aspects of adoption and foster care and support to concerned individuals and organizations. Will assist families interested in a waiting child to obtain training and home studies. Services include annual conference, international / domestic homestudies, birthmother support network, search support for birth families, monthly homestudy and information classes, and pre & post adoption parent support groups. Youth support groups also available.


Oswego County Department of Social Services

Services Provided: 30 hour (3 hours for 10 weeks) MAPP course held 2 X yearly, Spring and Fall. Orientation held on as needed basis. Timing of certification and homestudy process is flexible. Mental Health screening required for certification. County provides range of supports for adoptive/foster parents Foster and adoptive parents needed for children and teens 8 years and up.
