Domestic infant adoption averages between $5,000 to $20,000. Quarterly information meetings in Larchmont, On-line registration form and meeting schedule. Services Provided: Voluntary child care agency, provides residential treatment, foster care, adoption, and post adoption services in New York City and Westchester, Rockland, Dutchess, Orange Counties. Will recommend and refer potential adoptive only parents to nearby agencies for homestudy. Will share training with local agencies. Family Services of Westchester

Services Provided: Full service adoption agency providing home studies and post placement services for domestic and international adoption. No set fee schedule, will work with families on payment arrangements and develop cooperative service relationships with other agencies. Orientation held monthly, Agency has full range of counseling and support services for adoptive families including a pre-adoption support group.


Forever Families Through Adoption

Services Provided: Provides individual home studies and facilitation of domestic and international adoptions. Families are required to participate in a 10 hour training program or show proof of a minimum of 10 hours received elsewhere. Post and pre placment placement groups and individual counseling including adult adoptees.


Friends in Adoption

Services Provided: Friends in Adoption (FIA) is a non-profit, pro-choice, licensed agency with a focus on helping people make informed decisions concerning adoption. FIA is committed to open adoption, inclusiveness, and providing lifelong support to all members of the adoption circle. FIA employs a network of dedicated, experienced and caring adoption professionals. FIA’s mission is to keep the central focus on the needs of each child and to provide compassionate adoption services for the unique individuals involved in the adoption process. FIA works with pregnant women/couples considering placing their children with adoptive families as well as with prospective adoptive parents hoping to adopt a child. FIA has been a pioneer in open adoption, respects all choices, and welcomes all families! Leake and Watts Services, Inc

Services Provided: Leake & Watts finds stable, secure, and caring homes for nearly 100 children each year through our Family Foster Care program. If foster families are unable to adopt cases, prospective parents are introduced to children and work with our staff to make sure that the potential adoption is a good and positive match for everyone. Provide counseling services and help for adoptive parents to understand the cultural traditions of their children. Upon request, staff helps families who seek assistance after adoption with medical, financial, and supportive needs and assists terminally ill parents who wish to plan for their children’s future.


Spence-Chapin Services to Families and Children

Services Provided: Spence-Chapin has been providing adoption services for over 100 years. We provide support to all people connected to adoption.  From our home study services to our post adoption counseling services, and everything in between to support you with resources, groups, and community activities. Westchester County Department of Social Services

Services Provided: Prospective Adoptive Families should call the United Way at 211 or (800) 899-1479. A United Way 211 Representative will call them back with more information. Adoptive families are needed for Children over the age of ten, sibling groups of two or more, with one child being ten or older, children with physical, mental, or emotional handicaps. A large percentage of waiting children are African American or Hispanic. An attempt is made to place children in families with similar racial and ethnic backgrounds. Healthy children from infancy to ten years of age are available in extremely limited numbers at this time. Those who can only consider such a child are placed on a waiting list.
