Participants will have a brief overview of the components of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Panic Disorder, and why this is the first line treatment for extinguishing this debilitating disorder. This training will help participants learn to assess an understand symptoms, differentiate panic from anxiety, and to implement psychoeducation for clients. They will then learn to develop a hierarchy of panic symptoms, create an interroceptive and then in vivo exposure and implement exposure techniques that extinguish symptoms. Basic cognitive restructuring will also be taught.

The training is from 1-4 at the Emergency Service Center on Wells Farm Road in Goshen, NY

The cost is $25 for 3 continuing education contact hours for social workers, mental health counselors, psychoanalysts, creative arts therapist, and marriage & family therapists.
