Online Conference Sessions and Discussion

Like the Empowered to Connect hosts, the Coalition  believe that this community context is essential to the healing we are all seeking for the children and families in the adoption, kinship and foster care journeys. However, this year, as COVID-19 impedes our daily lives and activities, we have been compelled to rethink how our 2020 Empowered to Connect Conference Rewind is consumed and in what context. With that, for this year’s event,  you now have a great opportunity to offer the watch the sessions over time and then partake in the discussion all with the ability to view from the safety of your home.

• Connected Parenting and Healing through Relationships
• Empowering our Children’s Body, Environment, & Sensory Needs
• Correcting our Children by Recognizing and Meeting Needs

We will be hosting the event on a closed Facebook page. Each Tuesday evening session will be followed by an online discussion group with AGAPE staff.  Please make sure you download the Empowered to Connect 2020 Discussion Guide ( it will also be in your email confirmation) 

• Sunday, April 5^th  at 7:30 AM, 12:30 PM and  7:30 PM: Introduction to Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI)
• Tuesdays: April 7^th, 14^th, 21^st, 28^th, May 5^th, 12^th, 19^th, 26^th, June 2^nd, 9^th, 16^th.
  • 7:30-8:30 AM and 7:30-8:30 PM Sessions will be played
  • 8:30-9:30 PM Online Discussion following the sessions.
