The Possibility Project

Organizer

KeepSafeĀ is an original musical drama written and performed by a diverse group of NYC teenagers in foster care.

Participants meet 6-7 hours each week for ten months. Together, they explore the complicated issues they encounter daily and take part in workshops and discussions around diversity, leadership, violence prevention, conflict resolution, and social change, as well as training in the performing arts. Stories and perspectives shared in these workshops provide the raw material for an original full-length musical written and performed by the youth themselves.Ā KeepSafeĀ communicates the reality of young people’s lives in NYC – and their vision for change.

About The Possibility Project:

The Possibility Project brings teenagers together to transform the negative forces in their lives and communities into positive action. Through a long-term creative process, our teenagers learn to build relationships across differences, resolve tough conflicts they face, take on their responsibility to others, and lead.
