Organizer

We will provide tools on how to you set expectations and manage your child’s behavior while creating a safe, nurturing home environment. We’ll discuss what boundaries and rules are appropriate for a newly placed child. We will also highlight discipline techniques that promote healthy attachments. Finally, we’ll discuss the differences between discipline and punishment. We will take time to answer your individual questions and this will also create an opportunity to meet other perspective adoptive parents who may serve as a support system to you and your child! There will be a break for lunch; please bring a lunch or plan to buy lunch at one of the many local restaurants.

Please RSVP to ljiang@spence-chapin.org by September 25th. This event is open to families pre-placement who are seeking to adopt a child ages 3+
