Parenting Together St. Lawrence County: Foster, Adoptive, & Kinship Support

Organizer

Sometimes strength comes from knowing you are not alone.

Join other foster, adoptive, and kinship parents, in parenting together, during a day of support, encouragement, enrichment, and hopefully, inspiration!

Our amazing presenters will cover these topics:   parenting children with attachment issues/disorders:
  • From the Trenches with Linda Finerson, seasoned foster/adoptive parent and an experienced foster/adoptive advocate in NY
  • Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Disorders, Diagnosis, & Treatment Options with Dr. Douglas Waite, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics – Mount Sinai Medical Center
  • Circle of Trauma;  trauma informed approach to parenting with Richard Heyl de Ortiz of the Adoptive and Foster Family Coalition of New York.
Our day will end with Len Mackey’s amazing family drum circle to bring us together!
