Friends and Families of Pride and Joy,

We are so excited to share that registration for the 2019 Family Fun Day at the DoubleTree hotel in Binghamton, NY is now open!

Also, Pride and Joy Families will host a pool party on Friday, March 8th from 7:00-8:00 pm before the day long event on Saturday, March 9th. 

Spend the day in New York’s Central/Southern Tier region learning and sharing with other LGBTQ families like (and unlike!) yours!

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

A jam-packed day of learning, sharing and empowerment for diverse LGBTQ families. Resources, information, supportive conversations for adults. Camp Highlight programs for kids 6 and up. Fun, creative childcare provided by Miss Lynne for ages 3-5. Ample time and space provided for adults to meet and share.

Full-day event registration includes:

• Continental breakfast
• Lunch and afternoon snack
• Childcare (ages 3-5)
• Camp Highlight program (ages 6 and up)
• Resource Fair
• Workshops for adults on topics such as healing trauma in our children and families, self-care practices, raising gender creative kids and more

REGISTRATION

Fees:

• Children 0-4 (free)
• Children 5-12 ($10/person)
• Adults, age 13+ ($25/person)

Registration deadline: Monday, Feb. 18.

Financial assistance: Funds are available for financial assistance for those unable to pay the full price of the event. If you are seeking assistance, please contact Renae Barber, program assistant, at prideandjoyfamilies@gmail.com or 607-777-3717.

Registration assistance: If you need help with online registration, contact eventhelp@binghamton.edu. Be sure to include your phone number in the email.

Cancellation policy: If you are no longer able to attend, call 607-777-5711 or email eventhelp@binghamton.edu. A refund will be granted if you submit a request more than seven days before the event. Requests for refunds inside the seven-day window may be honored if an unforeseen circumstance prevents you from attending the event. We will consider these requests on a case-by-case basis.

ACCOMMODATIONS

For those who may be traveling from a distance, a block of rooms has been has been reserved for Friday night at the DoubleTree Hotel, 225 Water St, Binghamton, NY 13901 ($119/night+ tax rate available until Friday, Feb. 22). For reservations, contact the hotel directly at 607-722-7575. Mention “Pride and Joy Families” when you call and receive the group rate. Please note: Accommodations are not included in the event registration fee.

The DoubleTree hotel has an indoor pool, so Pride and Joy will be having a pool party get together Friday night, March 8, before the event. We encourage local families to come meet other families who will attend the next day, and we encourage families who plan on traveling to book a room and join us for the fun!
