Amy Drayer started her tenure at the Coalition in February 2017. After successfully advocating for many families while working in the field of Education, Amy’s determination and passion for helping others prompted her to segue into the Human Services sector from Education. She believes that as we go through life’s challenges, knowledge and connection with others make a difference.

Amy believes that “knowledge is power” and advocates voraciously for the families who seek her assistance. If she cannot help you find a solution, she will make it her mission to find a resource for you that can. Amy is passionate about ensuring that families know their legal rights and have the tools to advocate for themselves within a system that can be daunting, as well as overwhelming.

In her most recent work prior to joining the Coalition, Amy worked as the Executive Director at CASA of Ulster County.  Previous to this, she worked as an educator in both the public and private sectors. She has also owned her own business and worked as a legal research assistant. Amy has a Bachelor of Arts degree in both English and Political Science and a Master’s Degree in Education. Amy resides in the Hudson Valley and enjoys spending time with her family.
