Eileen is the Executive Director of Long Island Families Together (LIFT), a family support organization providing education, resources, advocacy and support to families of children with emotional, behavioral and mental health challenges. Eileen has been working as an advocate for children and families for the more than 10 years, and is a credentialed Family Peer Advocate. She has experience in both the corporate and non-profit sectors, as well as personal experience as a parent. She founded a support group for families of children adopted from Eastern European countries, and currently runs a group open to all adoptive, kinship and foster parents, as well as a group for adopted youth.
Eileen and her husband are the parents of 4 young adults, who were adopted internationally. She is a trainer for the Beyond Consequences parenting model, and provides family voice on a county and state level. Her passion is to help strengthen and empower parents to build strong, emotionally healthy, and supportive families.
