Produced in 2018, the thirty-minute film is a “re-boot” of the original, award-winning Foster Parents Speak: Crossing Bridges and Fostering Change video that has been used around the world recruit and train foster parents and to enlighten others about the realities of foster parenting.Produced in 2004, the original documentary, Foster Parents Speak: Crossing Bridges and Fostering Change has been the recipient of numerous awards including, Silver Hugo, INTERCOM/Chicago Film Festival, Honorable Mention, The Chris Awards.

As with the original, this new video is the result of a partnership between the Coalition and PhotoSynthesis Productions of Ithaca. The video was produced in part with support from the Ira W. DeCamp Foundation.
