Additionally, once you have registered for an event, our system will send out reminders and access information to the email provided through MailChimp for many of our groups and events. If you have UNSUBCRIBED from our list, then you have BLOCKED the SYSTEM and it will not allow us to send the meeting and event access information that you need. Coalition events are held in the AFFCNY Network; a free support network for New York’s adoptive, foster and kinship communities.
Please join the AFFCNY Network or you may directly access through Zoom or Google Meets (depending on the particular event, group, presentation, training or meeting logistics.)
If you have not yet joined the AFFCNY Network, click the button above! You will be asked to make an account with your name and photo, then choose NEXT. Add your email and create a password, confirm it and create your account!
You may choose to use your Facebook or LinkedIn credentials to log in; remember this to log in the same way next time! Once you have created your account and accessed the AFFCNY Network, you ONLY SIGN IN NEXT TIME! ( it sounds confusing but its really easy!)
If you have already joined and accessed the Coalition Conference Community, then you are already a member of the AFFCNY Network! Go to AFFCNY.NETWORK or just open up the app on your phone. Do not JOIN, but SIGN IN to access the meeting links. You will find this event and many others under EVENTS!
Most of the AGAPE online support groups meet using Google Meets. This is Google’s free services that requires no software and can be used on all computers, tablets and phones. You do need a Google account to sign in. If you have Gmail, you are set. Download “How to Set Up a Google Account” if needed. You may also opt to simply join and participate by phone.
At or right before the group meets, simply follow the links and call in instructions below to the specific Coalition Meeting Room.

The Coalition maintains two active Zoom accounts for other trainings and events. Generally, Parent Support Group Meetings are in Google Rooms while trainings where attendance is required for Training Hour Certificates are in Zoom.
If “AFFCNY Adoptive and Foster Family Coalition of New York is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting” then it will be most likely in the Info Zoom Room.
If “AFFCNY NETWORK is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting” then it will be most likely in the Network Zoom Room

While we have set up groups based on now suspended in person meetings and the geography of the counties in the state where AGAPE provides services, since we are now online, physical location is no longer an issue. All are welcome.
If you can’t make a regular or local group, please do come visit another.
It’s also perfectly OK to need extra support sometimes – especially now – so feel free to pop in.
