Lyenda Simpson Delp is a Managing Director at BlackRock Financial Management where she works in the Financial Institutions Group. She is responsible for business development and maintaining complex relationships with insurance companies and other taxable entities. She also manages a team of professionals focused on the financial institution market segment.  As a manager, she places emphasis on helping to develop and mentor junior and mid-level professionals.

Ms. Delp joined BlackRock in 2009. Previously, she was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs which she joined in year 2000 and had three roles during her time there. In her most recent role, she worked in Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s Global Manager Strategies Group where she helped develop GSAM’s fiduciary management capabilities of third party manager, multi-asset investment solutions for US and European insurers, corporate and Taft-Hartley pensions, endowments and foundations. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Ms. Delp spent two years at Deloitte Consulting as a management consultant working on assignments with banks, securities firms and insurance companies.

Ms. Delp earned an MBA with concentrations in finance, marketing and strategy from Carnegie Mellon University and a BSc in chemistry and biochemistry, double major with honors, from the University of the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica.  

She is married and has three children.  In her personal life, she is passionate about a number of social causes and is a regular volunteer in a few community and social initiatives.
