Columbia County Department of Social Services

Services Provided: County contracts with Berkshire Farms to do homefinding for FC and Adoption, but would like families to contact Cindy first.. 30 hour MAPP provided at least 2 x yearly. More if necessary. CPR certification required. Will work cooperatively with other states and counties to facilitate training and certification for families interested in Columbia Cty kids and visa versa.


Community Maternity Services

Services Provided: Full service, international and special needs adoption agency licensed in several states placing children not only in the U.S. but throughout the world. Applications are considered on an individual basis.  Minimum age of 21, there are no specific requirements of religion, social, ethnic, racial, or cultural origin. Single people, as well as those with known medical problems considered. Process takes about a year, fees vary according to program and country
