Advisory Council

Anni Keane is a former foster youth who was legally adopted by her foster mom when she was 24 years old.   Anni created the Nobody Ages Out (NAO) Youth Initiative at You Gotta Believe: The Older Child Adoption & Permanency Movement. NAO is an educational program aimed at raising awareness about the challenges faced by older youth in foster care and the importance of family support.  She was also responsible for overseeing over 20 advocates who worked to improve the child welfare system.  She hired, trained, and managed recruiters tasked with finding adoption and pre-adoption families for youth aged 15 to 22. Through her dedication and efforts, Anni has provided a platform for individuals to make meaningful life choices and connect with loving families, just as she did when she was adopted.  Anni was an active participant in several city council meetings, where she advocated for seven bills aimed at supporting older youth and those who have spent the longest time in the foster care system.
