Services Provided: Chautauqua County DHHS is primarily a foster care agency, although some children are placed for adoption from foster care. Orientation offered quarterly in each end of the county. MAPP/GPSII (pre-service foster parent meetings) offered twice a year (spring and fall), once in each end of the county. Several in-service foster parent trainings offered throughout the year. Four foster parent support groups meet monthly in various locations throughout the county. Monthly newsletter sent to all foster parents. Foster homes especially needed for teens and sibling groups
G.A. Family Services Foster Care Program
Services Provided: The G.A. Family Services Foster Care program serves youth and families throughout Western New York. On-going support and training are the hallmark of the program, which ensures the successful completion of all requirements to become a certified foster parent. G.A.’s Foster Care Program offers therapeutic and traditional foster care programs, utilizing a team approach that supports foster parents throughout their fostering experience.
