To Access Scheduled Events or Communities
If you are trying to access a particular community group, meeting, training or online event held in the AFFCNY Network, please make sure to check the Coalition’s Training and Events RSVP page as select events have separate registrations.
- Go to AFFCNY.NETWORK or just open up the app on your phone. SIGN IN.
- Most scheduled events will be listed as EVENTS. Others, such as Reframing Parenting, will be under COMMUNITIES within the AFFCNY Network once it is open to attendees. JOIN the Community for access.
- The Zoom meeting information will be found listed as EVENTS. On the event you will find all the log in information for the meetings.
- All workshops will be held on Zoom unless otherwise noted.
- Select events with separate registrations will have additional access information sent out before the scheduled event. Please access the AFFCNY Network beforehand to have the best experience.
The AFFCNY. Network was created to provide a safe online space for New York’s adoptive, foster and kinship families to come together in the spirit of connection and support.
Partly in repose to the needs of our families for continued support and education during the COVID-1 pandemic and partly as a result of the success of the 2020 Online Conference, the Adoptive and Foster Family Coalition of New York has decided to open up the virtual conference space to the larger New York state community.
Relaunching on September 1, 2020, the newly rebranded AFFCNY Network is designed to be a closed social network, much like Facebook, but dedicated to the needs to the states adoptive, foster and kinship families. Members create personal profiles, connect with people they know and can form different communities, topics and discussions based on their family’s needs, interests, challenges or location. Familiar features such as groups, events and private chats along with notifications and a wonderfully adapted mobile application are sure to make the AFFCNY Network a much needed oasis that families can go to again and again.
