How Does Kinship Care Help NY Families?

The phone rings late at night. Someone you’re close to can no longer care for their children. Can you take them?

If you do, you’re going to need help. That’s where kinship services – the Kinship Navigator and Local Kinship Programs – come in.

The Navigator connects people with local resources and provides information on financial assistance, legal information and referrals, and other issues that caregivers face when raising children in the absence of their biological parents.
