VOA returns this June for a special PRIDE Month conversations for adoptees 18+. This event is held specifically for adoptees 18+ who identify as LGBTQ, and will be hosted by Andie Markowitz.
Andie (she/her/hers) is a transracial adoptee from China. She grew up in California and moved to NYC almost ten years ago. She currently lives in Brooklyn with her two cats and dog, and works as a social worker in public defense. Andie has a lot of pride in being both adopted and queer. These two identities are very important to her and have shaped many parts of her life and experiences. Andie is passionate about finding and creating spaces where she can connect with others who may share these identities, which is why she is so excited to host this year’s Voices of Adoption event for adoptees in the LGBTQ+ community.
