Kitty started as a Family Support Specialist with the coalition on April 1, 2019 after learning of AGAPE at a Foster Care Recognition Banquet in May of 2017.Ā  It was through this connection that Kitty began participating in AGAPE trainings and support groups.

Kitty brings professional experience to this position through her certification as a Foster Parent in Chemung County since May 2012.

Kitty has worked with parents as a volunteer through Teen MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) and has also met with momā€™s to be at the pregnancy resource center to share her story of adoption.

Her educational and training opportunities include Understanding Traumaā€™s Effects Training, September 2016, Empowered to Connect Conference, April, 2018, NYS Foster Care & Adoption Conference, Nurture and Heal, May, 2018, Adoptive and Foster Family Coalition ā€“ Supporting Teens with Grief and Loss Support Group, May, 2018, Adoptive and Foster Family Coalition ā€“ Dealing with Your Childā€™s Challenges Support Group, June, 2018, andĀ  Adoptive and Foster Family Coalition Reframing Parenting Course Fall 2017 & Fall 2018.

Her family consists of a unique blending of with her first born being her birth son whom she reacquainted with in 2017, her husband, and her five children, one of whom is adopted.
