This time for a National Adoption Awareness Month Fundraiser Book Sale!!

For over two decades, National Adoption Awareness Month has been promoted and celebrated every November in communities across the country. Many national, state, and local agencies—as well as foster, kinship care, and adoptive family groups—will help educate their communities through programs, events, and activities that help raise awareness about adoption and the thousands of teens currently in foster care who are waiting for their own permanent families.

Dr. Stacey Patton: Challenging Myths About Race and Corporal Punishment

As part of the Adoptive and Foster Family Coalition of New York’s Anti-Racism and Social Justice Events Committee, Dr. Stacey Patton, author of the book “Spare the Kids: Why Whupping Children Won’t Save Black America” will be doing a full three hour presentation for the Coalition in the AFFCNY.Network during National Adoption Awareness Month on Thursday evening Nov 10, 2022 from 6pm to 9pm Eastern time.

Adopted person and visionary producer, Angela Tucker, and her husband, two-time Emmy award-winning director Bryan Tucker , have done it again with Lisa and Isell; a Story About Adoption and the Ghost Kingdom.   In it, Angela tells the story of an 85 year old man, Isell, who has been searching for his daughter for 54 years. The unforgettable ending stretches the notions biological family, connection and belonging.
