Hello!

According to Harvard University Center on the Developing Child “the single most common factor for children who develop resilience is at least one stable and committed relationship with a supportive parent.”

Your participation in the Family Adoption Competent Therapy (FACT) Funding Program will help us highlight the importance of adoption-competent trauma-informed therapy for children and families.

I am participating in this pilot project because I feel like adoption-competent and trauma-informed therapists are not always accessible to all adoptive and kinship families.
I believe that adoption-competent trauma-informed therapy will keep children from entering the foster care system after adoption and keep more children home with families rather than living in institutional settings.
