Services Provided: As a social work escort with Adoptive Family Homeland Travel programs to Vietnam and Russia, I was moved by the profound positive shift in sense of identity, belonging and self-esteem for adoptees visiting their homelands, and sometimes meeting caregivers or birthparents. As an adoption psychotherapist, individual, couple and family therapist, I’m happy to be present for adoptees (late adolescent to adult) and their families in their search to discover who they really are. This includes strengthening identity and connections within the adoptive family, exploring birth-culture and birth-family search when desired, finding support within the adoption community, and within a safe nurturing therapeutic relationship. My specialties include relationship issues, coping with loyalty conflicts, and trauma resolution. My work is always resilience-based and emotion focused.
